Core Operating Modes
1. GPT Bench Mode (No Disassembly)
Used primarily to extract security passwords or read/write flash memory without cutting or cracking the ECU cover seal.
How it works: You connect the standard
12V,GND,CAN-H,CAN-L, along withGPT1andGPT2directly to the external ECU header pins based on your software's pinout layout.Hardware Requirement: Note that to use GPT lines effectively (such as with PCMFlash Module 71), your hardware VCI must support generating proper GPT signals (e.g., Scanmatik 2 PRO).
2. Boot Mode (BSL / Tricore Open-Cap)
Used when the ECU is locked or requires direct hardware-level boot pin access (such as PCMFlash Module 53).
How it works: The ECU casing is opened. The adapter's silicone wires connect to the external plug pins, while the
BOOTandCNF1pins on the adapter connect to the respective boot pads or pins inside the circuit board.Built-in Safety: The GODIAG adapter features an integrated short-circuit-proof BOOT resistance board line. This prevents burning out the internal processor or trace lines if a probe slips or if there's an unexpected power grounding surge on the board.
